Colin Murphy
Head Coach & owner of JEM Tennis
Colin has over 20 years of coaching experience and is Level 3 coach with a Diploma in Sports Psychology. Colin coaches players from 2 to 80 years, he has taken players from beginner to national level, has helped players gain scholarships to American universities and believes in teaching the person and not just the game as everyone has their own individual style. Colin's passion is making tennis affordable and accessible and taking tennis to the local community, creating a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere where players of all ages and abilities are made to feel instantly welcome. He has coached over 50 teams who have all gone on to win their respective leagues.
Aurelie Hemphill
LTA Level 2 Coach
Aurelie is a full time Level 2 Coaching Assistant involved in the junior and adult coaching programme, after school clubs and camps. She also helps with the coaching at Stubbington Tennis Club, with the LTA Youth Start courses, Eastleigh Borough Council Park Sport and the Hedge End Town Council Friday Night Project programmes.
She deals with the day to day administration of the club and is available for individual lessons.
Connor Saunders
Connor helps with the organisation and running of the holiday camps and after school clubs. He is also in charge of venue maintenance.
Connor is available as a hitting partner during group sessions.
Linda Pink
LTA Level 2 Coach
Linda is our amazing after school clubs and junior programme coordinator. Linda’s passion, enthusiasm and commitment makes her an invaluable asset to the JEM Tennis team. Linda also coordinates the running of the LTA Youth Start programme we organise on a regular basis.
Shaun de Jongh
Shaun is a world class player and is available to hit/practice with where he can pass on his vast knowledge of tennis skills and techniques. He is a Level 1 coach and is working towards his Level 2 and 3. Shaun still competes regularly at a high level and is our chief racket re-stringer.
Andy Long
Andy is one of our A team players who has been playing since a junior. Experienced and enthusiastic stalwart of the club available as a hitting partner.
Amy Lewis
Welfare and Safeguarding Officer
Amy works in education and has extensive knowledge and experience with Welfare and Safeguarding. She also works in a similar role with the FA and is an essential and valued member of the JEM team.
Lois Nash
Club Manager
Responsible for the general off-court running of the club including venue coordination, adminstration, website and social media.
Lois is the League Secretary of the Portsmouth & IOW LTA and also Chair of the Hampshire & IOW LTA.
